Utjeha has a beach which is one of the cleanest beaches of the Adriatic Sea. The beach is also a winner of the Blue Flag in other words the recognition for cleanness from the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Protection.
Special gift of this beach is its hinterland which is consisted of thousands of old olive trees from which a natural olive oil is made you can rarely buy at the shop. Olive oil is possible to be bought from the head of households i.e. from natives of Utjeha, who produce the oil on traditional manner more than 2000 years old. In the place of Utjeha, besides the beach and olive oil, you can try various types of domestic cheeses and dairy products that are valid for unique products in the Balkans.
If you go only ten kilometers to the hill, you can see the Medjurje river canyon that tourists use for fishing in addition to mountaineering. Beside the river there are excellent places for picnic near the numerous springs of cold water.
You can organize the picnic by yourself and, at the wish of the guest, the staff of the catering facility organizes sightseeing of the tourist place as well as traditional lunches and dinners.
